June 23-26, 2010

Redwoods National Park is actually a conglomeration of three state parks, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Del Norte Redwoods State Park, and Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, along with some federal territory. Not as glamorous as Yosemite, this is a place is quiet mystery and fascination. It is known for:

the tallest tree in the world,

marvelous beach vistas

and Roosevelt Elk.
