Iron Canyon

To make the trip home a little more interesting, we stopped at the Sacramento River Bend Area to hike the Iron Canyon Trail to Jed Smith's Overlook.

We could see that the area was beautiful, but it was almost unbearably hot. We were grateful to return first to Mather's air conditioning, and then to the cool fog of the Bay Area.
