Icefields Parkway - Banff and Jasper National Parks

Sunday-Tuesday 16-19 June, 2024

Eric's photo of Sunwapta Falls, near our beautiful lodging along the Icefields Parkway.

So many features make this area special. One of them is that there is a triple Continental Divide here, with water flowing to the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic Oceans. Eric photographed a sign marking the divide between the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.

We spent three nights at the Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge, a splurge intended to be a comfort between bouts of camping.

Eric photographed the alpenglow on the surrounding mountains from the parking lot.

View looking out from our room.

My view of Sunwapta Falls.
