Hickman Bridge

Hickman Bridge.

One of the best hikes of our voyage was Hickman Bridge, a feature where softer rock from underneath was eroded out from harder rock above, leaving a natural bridge.

Looking down at UT-24 from the steep trail up.

Rock formations along the way.

Part of the way up the trail, we came across this natural bridge.

Eric under the first bridge.

Eric took a picture of the first bridge from low down.

And he took another picture from directly underneath.

As we pressed on, Eric photographed the dramatic views.

We were astonished by how much less crowded the trail became after the first bridge. It was as if many people had thought, oh, that was it, they found it, and turned around! As you see above, the actual bridge was much more dramatic.

Eric took a picture of me at the actual bridge.

Distance hiked: 3 km/2 mi

On to Scenic Drive.
